The first Marching\u00a0Knights numbered 125.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gotham-black\" style=\"font-size: 48px; color: #ffffff;\">50<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"archer-bold\" style=\"margin-bottom: 30px; color: #ffffff; text-align: center;\">Songs performed during the 2019-20 season<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gotham-black\" style=\"font-size: 48px; color: #ffffff;\">10<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"archer-bold\" style=\"margin-bottom: 30px; color: #ffffff; text-align: center;\">Instrument sections, including alto sax, baritone,\u00a0clarinet, drum line, mellophone, piccolo, sousaphone,\u00a0tenor sax, trumpet and trombone. There are also\u00a0dance, color guard and majorette sections.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gotham-black\" style=\"font-size: 48px; color: #ffffff;\">5<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"archer-bold\" style=\"margin-bottom: 30px; color: #ffffff; text-align: center;\">Average\u00a0number of miles the band marches\u00a0during a game week.<\/p>\n<p>[\/sidebar]<br \/>\n[lead]What would a football game be without the marching\u00a0band? If you ask senior Bobby Gillman, the Marching\u00a0Knights\u2019 sousaphone coordinator, \u201cThat\u2019d be like\u00a0chicken without the spices \u2014 and that just shouldn\u2019t\u00a0happen.\u201d[\/lead]<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, the Marching Knights have been\u00a0adding the essential zest to the university\u2019s football\u00a0games for the past 40 seasons, with the band\u2019s creation\u00a0just a year after the team\u2019s founding.
